People ask what I use to build websites without knowing how to code. Here's everything — the AI tools, the janky workarounds, and the stuff I'm probably paying for but forgot I have.

AI & Coding

The reason I can build anything.

I don't write code line by line. I describe what I want and iterate with AI until it works. This site? Built entirely this way.

Ride or die Claude Code This is the one. I talk to my terminal like it's a collaborator. It builds, debugs, deploys. Changed everything for me.

Claude.ai Strategy sessions, Substack drafts, rabbit holes. My default thinking partner.

Claude Remote Agents I kick off tasks and walk away. They run in the background while I do other things.

Terminal Looked scary at first. Now it's home. Black screen, blinking cursor, infinite possibility.

GitHub Where all my projects live. Version control still feels like magic when something breaks.

Gemini & OpenAI I test everything. Sometimes GPT gets it. Sometimes Gemini surprises me. Claude's still first choice.

Hermes Open-source AI I mess around with. Mostly for curiosity and staying sharp on what's out there.

OpenClaw Free legal research. Case law, citations, the works. Came in handy more than I expected.

Design & Content

For everything visual.

I'm not a designer by training. But with these tools? I fake it well enough that nobody asks questions.

Figma Claude has a connector for this now. I can describe a design and it just... makes it.

Canva For when I need something pretty in 5 minutes. Event graphics, slide decks, quick social posts.

Opus Clips Feed it a long video, it spits out viral-ready clips. AI editing is underrated.

CapCut My go-to for reels. Auto-captions, effects, templates — does 80% of the work.

Flova AI video generation. Create talking head videos, avatars, the whole thing.

Substack Where I write for real. No algorithm games, just inbox delivery. The way writing should be.

YouTube Premium Half research, half procrastination. At least there's no ads.

Instagram Editor Sometimes the native tools are enough. Quick stories, simple edits, done.

Archive.org The internet's attic. Old websites, dead links resurrected, history preserved. I use it more than I should.

Productivity

Where things go so I don't forget.

My brain holds ideas for about 30 seconds. Everything important lives in one of these.

Second brain Obsidian Every idea, every connection, every random 2am thought. Markdown files, locally stored, linked together. Beautiful chaos.

Notion For when I need to share or collaborate. Databases, project tracking, course materials.

Cognee Long-term memory for AI. Everything I tell Claude gets stored here and recalled later. It remembers so I don't have to.

OpenBrain My GitHub org for AI experiments. Skills, agents, memory systems — all the weird stuff I'm building.

Community & Events

How I get people in rooms.

I've hosted 200+ dinners and events. The tools are simple. The magic is in showing up consistently.

Luma Beautiful event pages, waitlists, reminder emails. Makes hosting feel professional.

Meetup Good for discovery. People searching for AI events find me here.

WhatsApp Where real coordination happens. Group chats for regulars. "Who's bringing wine?"

Resend Transactional emails that actually get delivered. Confirmations, reminders, the unglamorous stuff.

Infrastructure

The boring stuff that makes it work.

Nobody sees this layer. But when something breaks at 2am, I'm grateful I picked good ones.

Vercel Where this site lives. Push to GitHub, it deploys. That's it. That's the whole workflow.

Netlify Some older projects still live here. Works great, just got used to Vercel.

Hostinger Domains, DNS, the occasional WordPress site. The unexciting backbone.

Neon Serverless Postgres. Scales to zero, wakes up on demand. Claude Code connects to it directly.

Supabase When I need auth, storage, and a database in one place. Firebase vibes, but open source.
